Leading the auto industry in terms of their cutting-edge innovation, head-turning design, and sheer adaptability, the BMW Group presented several of their groundbreaking projects at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that was hosted in Las Vegas from January 8-11 of 2019. Focusing primarily on the sectors of intelligent connectivity and future individual mobility, the all-new BMW Vision iNext and the accompanying BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant took center stage at this critical event and in doing so, has set the standard for what the future of automobiles have the potential to be.
Taking a radical and remarkable approach to their exhibit, the BMW Group aimed to create what they call a "Favorite Space" to show that the BMW Vision iNext is more than just an all-electric, fully-autonomous vehicle, but will actually be able to enhance our overall quality of life by giving us back one of our most precious resources--time. Once visitors arrived at the exhibit, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant would greet them and guide them to the Eden-like exhibit entrance where they could explore an Arcadian landscape of paths paired with light projections and showers of sounds.
The next portion of BMW's multiple exhibits at CES was a mixed-reality experience that allowed visitors the chance to actually experience what life would be like with the BMW Vision iNext. Using Virtual Reality goggles, each visitor was able to experience an incredibly realistic simulation of the BMW Vision iNext in action. Riding up an elevator and then greeted with the autonomous vehicle, visitors were then whisked away through a futuristic megacity while the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant was ready and able to help at a moment's notice. As of now, the production-ready model of the BMW Vision iNext is slated for debut in 2021. Stay tuned to BMW of San Antonio for more updates as they come in!
