The BMW X1 was the first-ever front-wheel drive-based BMW to ever be sold in America. Debuting in 2019 is another new first for the German automaker. A new, plug-in hybrid variant will be coming out that will also be the first in its segment. This hybrid model will likely be a facelifted model, without a lot of obvious changes.
