Take a Virtual Ride in the BMW Vision iNext at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show

The 2019 Consumer Electronics Show will be hosted in Las Vegas from January 8 through January 11, and the BMW Group plans to showcase the future of mobility in a number of exciting and innovative ways. Those attending the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show will have their first-ever chance to take an all-virtual drive in the new BMW Vision iNext, accompanied by none other than the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. A preview experience like nothing the world has ever seen, the BMW Vision iNext vehicle will be set up on display next to an incredibly sophisticated installation that provides an immersive virtual experience of what it would be like to actually ride in an autonomous car. Each guest received a pair of virtual reality goggles as they fully immerse themselves in the ultimate BMW Vision iNext experience, allowing the car to drive itself as the driver is then able to engage with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant to shop, video conference, and more!

Ultimately, the BMW Vision iNext vehicle aims to illustrate a future where autonomous mobility has multiple benefits to society on the whole. Not only is the BMW Vision iNext entirely electric and emission-free, but it also gives us back one of the most valuable resources available on the planet: time. When our attention doesn’t have to be focused on the road, we can instead use our time more efficiently. The BMW Vision iNext also features subtly placed “Shy Tech,” or technology that’s discretely integrated into the car but easily accessible whenever the driver or passengers need it. The BMW Group also has several different and incredible outdoor presentations planned, including a demonstration from BMW Motorrad’s self-driving BMW R 1200 GS and test drives of the brand-new, first-ever BMW X7.
