In recent years, automakers are moving towards alternatives to gasoline-powered vehicles. Tesla has been the pioneer for that.
And now BMW is starting the move, too.
Sources close to BMW say that the company is currently in the middle of changing things in their workforce, as in adding new employees that are dedicated electrically powered vehicle specialists. BMW is looking to make a huge push in creating EV models.
This comes at a very opportune time for BMW, as Tesla sales have been plummeting lately. BMW is determined to make models that are more efficient, stylish, comfortable and safe to Tesla.

This isn't the only game-changing plan that BMW has in place. Our BMW of San Antonio recently wrote a blog about the company's dedication to autonomous vehicles. They unveiled a revolutionary self-driving model under their MINI brand that looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Click here to take a look at it.
"It opens up millions of new customers who would really like to have a premium car but maybe can't afford one or live in a city where they can't park one," BMW head of sales Ian Robertson said about using autonomous cars as a taxi service and the overall appeal of self-driving cars in the industry. "If you can reach new customers, then the scope and the scale of what we are in the business with today takes a massive, massive reach forward."
Stay tuned for news on this in the near future. BMW is on the move. It's best for you to stick around for the ride. We have a feeling you're really going to love where they're going.
