Well, this is amazing.
If you're looking for heart-pounding action and cinematic art, the last place you'd think to check out is the YouTube page of an automaker. But BMW, as you know, doesn't do normal things.
Recently, the automaker released a 13-minute short film online titled "The Escape". It's basically just a 13-minute-long chase scene behind the wheel of the 2017 BMW 5-Series sedan, but it's still phenomenal and thrilling.
This is the sequel to a series of online videos that BMW started in 2001, long before the days of YouTube. They generated over 10 million hits, which is incredible considering videos weren't nearly as mainstream online back then.
And it looks like The Escape is heading towards that same kind of success. In just 2 days, it gathered over 1 million views. And now, at the time of posting this article, it's over 2 million views in 5 days.
