Recently, we wrote a blog talking about BMW's plan to implement self-driving cars into the market. At the time, there wasn't an actual rendering of a BMW model.
But now there is.
Above, you'll see a rough idea of what a self-driving BMW will look like. And in our opinions, it's really, really cool.
Our BMW dealership in San Antonio has closely followed this story for a few months now, and needless to say we are very excited. Self-driving cars will make traveling a lot more convenient, especially when it comes to taxi services.
In a Munich press conference last month, BMW said they plan to release their self-driving vehicle to the Chinese market first in 2021. That's just five years from now, which is crazy to think about.

"It opens up millions of new customers who would really like to have a premium car but maybe can't afford one or live in a city where they can't park one," BMW head of sales Ian Robertson said in a previous statement. "If you can reach new customers, then the scope and the scale of what we are in the business with today takes a massive reach forward."
BMW is working around the clock to make sure these self-driving models are safe, efficient and fun for the customer. When the time comes, they'll be more than ready. We are sure of it.
