One of the most exclusive cars in the world, the BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe, recently landed in our showroom in San Antonio as part of its cross country tour. Limited to a production of 150-200 vehicles for sale in the United States, the Alpina B6 opens a new dimension of exclusivity. We were so excited to host this incredible car for a few days and revel in its luxury.
Every B6 model partakes in a two week hand-finishing sequence where Alpina components are added to the existing BMW 6 Series body. For 2016, the Alpina B6 has undergone subtle refinements and enhancements, raising the benchmark with exciting new details.
Roaring down roads with 600 bHP at 6,000 rpm, the 4.4 liter Bi-Turbo V8 engine has a maximum torque of 590 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm. Preliminary tests show the B6 accelerates from 0-60 mph in an astonishing 3.6 seconds. It's the fastest accelerating Alpina in history.
More comfort oriented than any BMW before, the new B6 Gran Coupe has a luxurious interior composed only of the highest quality materials. Nappa leather upholstery and electric comfort seats optimize the driving experience. Finishing touches include a hand-stitched Lavalina leather steering wheel, Alpina production plate, blue illuminated lettering in door sill trims and classic luxury wood trim in Myrtle or Piano lacquer.
BMW and boutique tuner Alpina have shared a special relationship for years. Most American drivers have remained unaware of the Alpina vehicles due to the exclusivity of a low production number. Before the B6's arrival this year, only the Alpina B7 had been available through BMW USA. With less than 1500 Alpina models produced each year, this BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe in San Antonio is as close to one of kind as you can be.
