There's nothing more exciting, in the humble opinions of those of us here at BMW of San Antonio, than the announcement of new BMW models.
That's why, when we recently heard that the brand-new BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe has been confirmed for production, we were pretty thrilled.
The BMW X4 is a particularly intriguing new BMW model because it combines the fun-to-drive appeal and utility of BMW's SAV (Spots Activity Vehicle) lineup but with the style and agility of coupe models.
We've learned that the U.S.-version of the BMW X4 will be available in two engine options: both TwinPower Turbos. The X4 xDrive28i for instance, will feature a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with 240 horsepower output and the X4 xDrive35i will offer a 3.0-liter inline six engine with 300 horsepower capability.
Both BMW X4 models will be available with an 8-speed Steptronic sport auto transmission with xDrive and shifter paddles.
So, when will be able to see the all-new BMW X4?
The 2015 BMW X4 is slated to make its world debut at the New York International Auto Show, next month. Afterward, the model will enter production in spring and will only be produced right here in the U.S. in BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina facility.
