When you're the cream of the crop, you rise to the top - and that's exactly what the BMW Group has been doing as of late. You see, the Bavarian automaker is announcing that the global deliveries from 2013 constitute the company's highest-selling year ever.

More specifically, 2013 brought about the distribution of 1,963,798 vehicles from the BMW Group's three nameplates. When looking at new BMW models directly, an ample 1,655,138 units were sold to drivers worldwide last year, which is a 7.5 percent increase when compared year-over-year.

December was quite impressive, as well. In fact, the last month of the year was also a record-breaker with 155,835 units of the brand's luxury vehicles sold globally. However, today's post is truly about the German automaker's impressive deliveries in 2013, which were led by the BMW 3 Series.

Indeed, the BMW 3 Series created a flurry of excitement in 2013 with sales augmented from the year previously by a healthy 23 percent. When put in other terms, that equates to 500,314 units sold. Meanwhile, the 5 Series models augmented their deliveries by 2.2 percent when moving 366,992 units to drivers across the globe.
