If there's one thing you can be certain of when it comes to the BMW brand, it is that the Bavarian automaker takes performance very seriously.

Here at BMW of San Antonio, we've heard nothing but good things about the power of the M-Series models. However, even the few reaming naysayers in the San Antonio, TX, area will surely be assuaged by the pending Competition package.

Available on the 2014 BMW M5 and M6 models, the full-throttle Competition trim will add more track-ready features to the turbocharged series. But before we get to the speed, let's talk about what's sure to catch your eye first. The luster of the 20-inch alloy wheels in addition to the four exhaust pipes will make it pretty clear right off the bat that these vehicles are fit to move.

So what's really packing the punch? A 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an output of 575 horsepower should get you wherever you want to be in no time. And, oh yeah, the vehicles top out at 190 mph.

With the added burst of speed, BMW made a few other tweaks to keep these cars positioned well on the track. As you may have guessed, the suspension has been tightened up a bit and the Competition package also offers an upgraded steering system.

Before you come racing down to our new BMW dealership, we should point out that the 2014 models are not quite available yet. Feel free to give us a call at 877-447-7443 and we'll let you know just as soon as they arrive.
