Certified CenterThe BMW i3 was finally unveiled in grand fashion and the event has sparked quite a buzz.
For starters, we're talking about the release of an all-new BMW model; that alone calls for a celebration. However, the i3 is the first premium car that was designed from the get-go on an EV platform, which really gave the world a reason to mark the occasion. Therefore a grand introduction was in order. So the BMW team developed the perfect way to premier this groundbreaking EV.
Simultaneously, the model debuted in three major metropolitan areas, in three distinct time zones. New Yorkers welcomed the i3 with a cup of coffee, Londoners tacked it in before tea, and in Beijing they popped the cork as the curtain was finally drawn back on the long-awaited vehicle.
Sienna Miller and James Franco turned up for the London debut and they were both quite taken with what they saw.
"Being a new mother I am very passionate about making green changes in my life to leave a better world for the next generation," remarked Miller. "100% electric as well as stylish is something brand new which no one else offers making the BMW i3 the perfect city car for me."1
Falling right in line with your typical Hollywood affair, the stars got a glimpse well-before folks in San Antonio, TX will get a chance to look the new number over. It shouldn't be too long, though, as we expect the i3 to be available in our BMW of San Antonio showroom in early 2014.
