The 5-Series is one of BMW's bestselling models and has been around for more than forty years, allowing for its German automakers to have plenty of time to perfect it. This is why U.S. News and World Report ranks it number two of ten in the luxury midsize category. Its plethora of new features and technology advancements are just two of the standout improvements in the 2018 model. While it's still a performance vehicle, it's also a seasoned cruiser, showing out on long distance rides while its suspension absorbs every bump in the road.
The 5-Series is available in numerous trims including a luxury sedan, Gran Turismo hatchback, 530e plug-in hybrid, and a more potent M550i model. Two engines are available: a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 248 horsepower, or a 3.0-liter turbo I-6 producing 335 horsepower. The interior's refined and understated design comes with a lot of high-end materials, especially when you opt for multicontour or massaging seats.

A head-up display, two options premium audio systems, Apple CarPlay integration, navigation, a 360-degree view camera system, and automated parking assist are also some of the highly-coveted features.

Available safety features include a lane departure warning system, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, semi-automated steering, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic braking.
