Our world is moving closer and closer towards relying on renewable energy to power our vehicles. You've probably read about multiple automakers currently working on all-electric models to showcase their brand in the next five years, including BMW.
Well, BMW is about to take another step in that direction.
The brand has a new half-electric, half-gasoline-powered model called the BMW 530e iPerformance, which is arriving in early 2017. Our BMW dealership in San Antonio, TX regularly keeps up with the new vehicles that BMW is working on -- not only because it's our job, but also because we are genuinely fascinated by their innovation and creativity.
The BMW iPerformance will certainly live up to its name, will deliver 95 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and then when you switch over to the gas, you'll have 180 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque. It can also go from 0 to 60 in just 6.1 seconds, which is pretty amazing for a hybrid.
It'll go up to 14 miles on pure electricity. If you live relatively close to work, just imagine how much gas you'd be saving with a vehicle like this.
The BMW 530e iPerformance will be released in early 2017, and we can't wait for it. To read more about it, click here.

We are also now proud partners with the San Antonio Spurs! Catch our brand regularly on all of their social media pages. We're excited to be working with the the Spurs, and we know the feeling is mutual. They're a fantastic organization of people, and it doesn't hurt that they have a highly successful team on the court.
