BMW Group’s company called Designworks has partnered up with cold-weather specialists The North Face to create an innovative and informative camper virtual reality experience in order to understand how we can better protect ourselves from the elements in the future. This camper concept was created in order to show off The North Face’s totally new FUTURELIGHT fabric which uses revolutionary Nanospinning technology in order to create the world’s most breathable and waterproof material.

Going Green, BMW Group Commits to Renewable Resources

On December 10th, 2018 at the UN Climate Change Conference held in Katowice, Poland, the BMW Group announced to the world that the German-based company is already utilizing 100% renewable resources in Europe with plans to fully switch over globally by the year 2020. Ultimately, the BMW Group hopes to eliminate carbonization entirely from the mobility sector. The BMW Group and the UN Climate Change Conferences have been in partnership together since 1992, with the BMW Group serving as the headline sponsor of the ninth Sustainable Innovation Forum in particular.

Supercharged: The BMW i3 Gets a New Battery and Other Exciting Updates

Originally introduced as a concept vehicle at the International Motor Show Germany in 2011, the BMW i3 electric vehicle has grown in leaps in bounds since its official launch in 2013. Initially, the BMW i3 was designed with a smallish 60 Ah battery that provided the car a driving range of just 81 miles. In 2017, the i3 finally saw its first battery upgrade up to a 94 Ah battery which increased the range an additional 34 miles for a total range of 115.
